The Content Management System (CMS) of Red Rocket strives to find the balance between offering developers enough advanced options to create a framework of their choosing to power their designs, and giving end-users a comfortable, easy-to-use software environment to create, edit, and maintain the content of their website.
The front-end software of Red Rocket is a global, centralized application server. There are many benefits of running everything from a single source. Some of them are:
The data is protected. The Red Rocket platform is hosted on a dedicated server, complete with daily backups, and ongoing security updates. If any individual Red Rocket site were to go down, get hacked, or have data loss, the Red Rocket server is always ready to publish a fresh copy of your site’s data.
Red Rocket produces entirely static site files. For the most part, each site is completely static — that means you can move around your site files as you wish, and there are no server requirements (well, other than being able to host files). Once a site is published, any and all files are completely non-proprietary, editable, and functional. In fact, there is even an option in the publisher to download a ZIP archive of all your site files so you can do with them what you wish.
A single application allows us to offer upgrades for free, and immediately. Red Rocket is a complex application, and is continually undergoing upgrades, usability tweaks, and functionality add-ons. Since we maintain the software, and we always ensure backwards-compatibility with all of our updates, you never have to worry about being left in the dust.
Below you will find some basic video tutorials on the tool, outlining some common workflows, to give you a glimpse of the application itself.
